The NPR story begins referring to an "international controversy" about the Israeli raid on the Freedom Flotilla last Monday. You see, there is no controversy here in the United States, we all support the raid? That is the consensus that NPR and significant sectors of our society want to maintain: blind, uncritical support and bankrolling for the very aggressive state of Israel. In fact, Israel occupies Syrian land and has a history of invading Lebanon, bombing Iraq and even the USS Liberty.
So what is NPR's big news story from the recent efforts to break the siege of Gaza? NPR concludes that a "spotlight" must be shone on IHH, a humanitarian organization that we are going to be made very paranoid about. Funny, that is the same campaign IDF and Israel are doing! Coincidence maybe?
The participants from scores of other groups are completely ignored. Freedom flotilla participants come from forty nations but NPR takes on Israel's campaign against Turkey. NPR doesn't quite demonize Turkey but that sees to be the direction in which Israel is headed.
Hamas is already wearing the American/Israeli made label of "terrorist". It is interesting, is that all we do in the US now, sell fraudulent investments and label anyone we disagree a terrorist, THEN RUN LIKE HELL FROM THE FACTS? A lot of this Morning Edition story embraces this labeling of Hamas a terrorist without any examination or thought. Why are they labeled terrorists and why are we always ill informed about the views of these so-called terrorists? In this case eight unarmed civilians were each shot in the head four times each, yet their corpses are labeled "terrorist corpses" while the IDF killers magically become the victims.
It seems that the label "terrorist" allows powerful interests to spread self-serving lies and disinformation while shutting off reliable and accurate information. This is just the opposite of what a journalistic enterprise should be doing.
Well, NPR did its best to make us suspicious about IHH and the evil humanitarians trying to harm Israel by breaking the siege of Gaza. They are good for that!
Does NPR support the siege of Gaza? Why is there no "spotlight" on the UN resolution to end the siege of Gaza? Why no "spotlight" on the property stolen from hundreds of Freedom Flotilla passengers, why no "spotlight" on the ships confiscated. Why no "spotlight" on the issue of Israeli piracy versus Somali piracy. Why no compassion for the 1.6 million people of Gaza? The siege and sovereignty of the Palestinians are always ignored. Why don't you send reporters there you. ass sitters?
Why no spotlight on the seizure of the ship Rachel Corrie? There was a Nobel price winner on board and Dennis Halliday on that ship! That is amazing! Former Iraq weapons inspector Dennis Halliday used to be allowed on NPR but now he doesn't uncritically support Israeli behavior and American invasions. I guess you don't let people like that on your show let alone cover them, no "spotlight" for reality. NPR, THE ZIONIST SPOTLIGHT.
Why no "spotlight" on the 60 journalists who were treated like crap and had their materials confiscated by the IDF so they could not report? Why no focus on the sophisticated hit list booklet seen by passengers in the Freedom Flotilla? Can there be any question that NPR is a bastion of the Zionist consensus in American ruling circles? NPR has always been a mechanism for the distribution of ruling class ideas and since the fifties our ruling class has become a largely Zionist one. Then there could have been a spotlight on the special munition removed from one victim of the IDF, unseen before by Turkish forensics, a special bullet concocted by whom?
At the end of the day NPR's "spotlight" is often directed by Zionist ideology, not the facts, not by newsworthiness and not by journalistic excellence.

ISRAELI PIRACY OK, SOMALI PIRACY BAD NPR
After reporting the Israeli version of the killings by the IDF all day NPR did allow a good story by a woman and German official with diplomatic immunity. She was not arrested as most of the humanitarian passengers and crew were by IDF, taken hostage on the high sea. Which would be a problem if only a Somali youth had taken them hostage. Ho hum. Israel good like America. Somalis bad like the Goyim.
Yet her personal witness of three shot dead on a lower deck was quickly diluted with a repetition of IDF talking points. Ain't it great to be an Israeli-American! Soon NPR has implanted the expectation that the United States expects an Israeli investigation of the massacre! This is ludicrous beyond words. What a joke and the BS about "at least some international input" is pure crap. Israel is the defendant. You don't ask the defendant to act as investigator or prosecutor. Or you do if you are
NPR and the Obama adminstration, trying to keep a low profile in a world of woe.

NPRS DEFENSE OF AMERICAN ZIONISM
After the massacre of humanitarian activists NPR is defending Israel and American Zionist ideas. The Zionist hosts and staff have no problem emphasizing the aggression of those humanitarian workers while helping us ignore as much as possible the slaughter of those who had no real weapons.
There is something of a critique of Israel but it is basically a defense of Israel even more than we might see in many Israeli publications. These guys know all the Israeli talking points and the emphasis is, as usual, the terrible threat to Israel, from a humanitarian shipment.
Neil Conan just said that the shipment was a great success for the organizers. He says that except for the deaths it was a success. Not really Neil, the shipment and hundreds are being held hostage by your other nation of citizenship?
All the guests and commentators are Zionist. All of them.
Of course if these were Somali pirates we would have a different discussion, a big anti terrorism and anti Islamic campaign. But Israel did it so it is ok.
This is an act of war by Israel and NPR doesn't care, doesn't condemn it and tries to blame the humanitarian victims slaughtered by the guys that NPR think of as brethren and fellow ISRAELIS. Where is Chomsky? Oh I forgot, Israel and NPR have banned him! Their views must not even exist! NPR. National Propaganda Radio with a Zionist cadre to lead us forward.
NPR commentators talk about this massacre as if it were the Israeli soldiers who were killed. Play the victim for us, what about the holocaust, you know, when Germans did to your ancestors what your are doing to Palestinians and anyone who dares struggle against your ridiculous racist and fanatical religious delusions.
Aaron David Miller and Neil tried to make the Israeli massacre go away and they are done. Occasionally they said everything was too complicated to understand. Only experts, and Zionist experts at that, can really understand much of anything it seems.

IRA PLAY DOUGH POINTS TO QUICK SOLUTION FOR GULF WELL LEAK
For some reason I have been distracted from the ongoing catastrophe in the Gulf so I have been frustrated that BP has refused to stop the oil leak with a little explosion to destroy the oil pipe's access to the surface. Today. I am pleased to see that a guest on Ira Flatow's Science Friday suggests crimping the leaking oil pipe with explosives, duhhhhh! I agree that explosive charges could stop this leak rather quickly and that this could be achieved within a few days.
This "no brainer" and obvious solution is not being pursued because it would cost BP and its stockholders, something Ira Playdough doesn't discuss.
So Ira gets an A for seeing the obvious solution but he gets an F for not insisting on this environmentally friendly solution. He also gets an F for not seeing that politics and economics control the technology and science used for this situation. Ira Flatow has mainly, however, hosted a discussion about how technology can stop the oil by saving the BP investment, by saving the pipes they have installed.
Just think about it. The United States blows up everything every day for fun and profit, war and more thrills. Why is the US suddenly unable to blow up a blow out? Profits! Profits of BP shareholders. They are willing to sacrifice the fish, the worms, the plankton, the turtles and fish, everything for their unholy profit.
That is why capitalism really is no good and has to be replaced by a noncapitalist system of ownership and production that is friendly to our Common Mother, Earth. We don't really need big oil if we switch to other forms of energy. Big oil is trying to keep us dependent on oil and blocks alternative energy development.

NPR JUSTIFIES THE MASSACRE EXPOSED BY WIKILEAKS
I turned on the radio today, April 12, 2010, to hear NPR running a program about the merciless gunning down of civilians and journalists in Iraq, recently revealed by Wiki leaks I have tried to post that video to this blog but I have noticed these videos often don't seem to work anymore. Anyone who looks at that video, and it is available if you look for it, is going to be shocked.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rXPrfnU3G0
Here is a link. A true patriot released this video and it is something the United States wants to hide at all costs, the truth about the illegal occupation of Iraq. This is the daily work of our supposedly wonderful soldiers, not an exception.
Unarmed civilians are viewed at a distance so the United States forces are completely out of range of even imaginary weapons. So a casual dialogue unfolds as one glorious soldier talks to another even more wonderful dude and then they shoot unarmed civilians, again and again, and again.
So these all American yahoos fire 30 caliber machine gun fire at pedestrians and then at a van trying to help the wounded. The closed minded evil of the Americans is so clear. This is evil and the justification of it is pure evil. NPR is part of the military industrial media complex. This is not a just war and any American who supports it is participating in evil as indeed I am, at least to some extent, for paying my taxes.
There is no justification for this massacre or the war. For NPR to once again promote military gibberish about how this is all ok tells us what NPR is all about, justifying the rule of the few over the many whether the few are the citizens of one privileged nation like Israel or another privileged nation like the United States. You have to massacre the many like they don't matter to achieve this and that is what NPR was justifying today.
The quotation by Orwell fits NPR to a tee, "Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable..." NPR
does that better than anyone on behalf of Liberal reaction.
Crucially, the empty headed rhetoric about military service, military honor, and rules of engagement is at the heart of U. S. and in this particular case NPR's justification of massacres and mass murder.
It is incredible. One fool after another calls in and confesses their war crimes. I dropped napalm on a village to save my men one dude with a peculiar accent asserts. This caller is saying that all the rules of engagement that the guest is talking about really don't apply even though the guest just justified the massacre of civilians in Iraq. I brought my people home says. It doesn't matter that the invasion of foreign lands was not justified in any way.
I am livid. NPR, understanding supporter of the massacre of civilians and journalists. Remember this next fund raiser.
Now, longtime imperialist stooge, Clarence Paige is telling us we didn't invade Iraq because of WMD's.
Perhaps with the economy tanking the NPR propagandists are vying with one another to keep their jobs. To indicate their employability they must indicate their subservience to imperialist, Zionist, and capitalist ideology and power. This is after a long dialogue with Neil Conan about how personable and "deep" the hard core racists in the United States are, also hiding behind the bull shit of military honor.
Liberal reaction. It sounds different than Conservative reaction but it serves the tiny and privileged elites making wars on the rest of us. NPR.

NEIL CONAN AND HIS EXPERT ON IRANIAN BARBARIANS
Yesterday Neil Conan, the golden voiced lad at NPR, hosted some unremembered expert on the Iran who characterized the Iranians as something like barbarians. I couldn't find the incriminating evidence as I looked for it today
on the NPR site but here is my criticism of the expert and Conan without any bibliography, eh?
The topic was the "terrible threat" of Iran, one of NPR's and the national security cult's favorite foci. The terrible threat of Iran maybe having nuclear weapons was brought up again and again as a pretext for sanctions against Iran. Yet there was obviously more than sanctions suggested by the discussion. It was, in fact a disingenuous effort, as before with Iraq on NPR, to justify a chain of escalating attacks on Iran beginning with an intensification of the economic embargo the United States has tried to impose since it's favorite dictator was overthrown thirty years ago. As with Iraq the end game is the destruction of another advanced nation with lots of oil in the ground. NPR.
Of course there are defects in the Iranian ecclesiatical regime but that doesn't mean the United States has become a champion of human rights or of Iranian democracy. Indeed, the so-called democracy in the United States is a complete mind numbing farce which has effectively left the American people even more impotent than the Iranian people who at least have the gumption to rebel against their government, something Americans will apparently never do in their own country! Why are Americans such gutless wonders? The two party farce is a great deal of the problem and NPR does its part to manipulate and control the population in close coordination with the VIP caste and National Security Coconspirators.
Conan went so far as to assert as a fact that Iran is a few years from developing a nuclear weapon. This is the kind of thing NPR loyally reported when G. W. was spinning his lies about Iraqi WMDs with Tony Blair and Big Dick Cheney. So much for objective fact based journalism. NPR
At one point a caller suggested that the two gentlemen discuss the Israeli nuclear threat and the caller noticed that only in America could the so-called imagined and not real Iranian nuclear threat could be discussed without any reference whatsoever to the Israeli strategic arsenal. The guest expert said he would in fact address the issue. Would that be the first time on NPR the issue of Israeli nukes has been discussed?
Yet the barbarian expert and Conan simply defended Israel and with an obvious devotion to the Israeli state that may reveal what NPR is largely about. It turns out Israel the invader of Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and conqueror of Palestine is a swell responsible country. The Iranians are not responsible like the Israelis even though they invaded no one.
So the guest portraying the Iranians as barbarians pointed out that Israel is a "responsible" nuclear weapons holder so it is ok. End of discussion.
Conan had to insert his own defense of the strategic nuclear power with the idea that Israel never signed a nuclear nonproliferation agreement as Iran had! So, thinking like a damn lawyer, it is fine to go after Iran and ignore Israel. Double standards everywhere, that is what lawyers and the defenders of elite privilege do best, justify and implement double standards.
So there never has been nor ever will be a program on NPR about the American or Israeli nuclear threat to others or even ourselves! Yes, these are responsible nations and above scrutiny. Iran on the other hand can be bashed, placed under siege and attacked for decades without so much as a smirk from Neil Conan or a slew of experts that love Israel even more than they love the United States.
So, according to NPR, it is ok to destroy the Iranian regime and maybe Iran as well for an imagined nuclear threat that doesn't even exist (or some other excuse) but the really existing strategic arsenal of Israel, at least three hundred nuclear weapons, is still not going to be discussed! Thus we see the Israeli, United States and NPR consensus, Israeli nuclear weapons good, US nuclear weapons good. Iranians nuclear program even without weapons bad! I am surprised neither Conan nor his guest shouted out, "Ich liebe Israel!" Double standards and the Israeli lobby all in one mellow package.
What percent of the NPR staff has Israeli citizenship in addition to their American citizenship? How many are active in Zionist organizations?

GROSS TERRY AND HER NATIONAL SECURITY LAWYER EXPERT DECIDE TO LOCK DOWN THE INTERNET
Today the behavior of Gross Terry was truly reprehensible. She had this expert jackass on who slowly spun a story of how we must lock down the internet even going so far as to suggest a license for anyone who wants to get on the internet. It was very, very clever. Lawyers are now supposed to help everyone, what a joke!, by regulating the internet! Who needs these lawyers anyway, no one I know!
Lock down the internet so it can be just like cable tv, a stinking marketplace with nothing but deception, hustling and top down tyranny. No wonder Gross Terry and the whole class of political parasites sucking on the neck of the empire love this idea! Jobs for the fools that were on Wall Street. Right Terri?
No passion for freedom in this country was noted in the NPR interview except the idiotic idea that we have a free country and don't need privacy! Yes you need a degree in law or thirty years reporting lies and distortions to understand that one! Only those foreign lands with terrible governments might need privacy the lawyerly jackass opined. Terri couldn't agree quickly enough.
